President Joe Biden signed into law the most sweeping gun legislation in 30 years yesterday after a bipartisan bill was approved by Congress in the wake of the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. The bill provides funds to states for "red flag" laws, enhances background checks to include juvenile records, and closes the "boyfriend loophole" by preventing unmarried partners convicted of abuse from obtaining guns. It also requires enhanced background checks for gun buyers ages 18 to 21 and earmarks funding for youth mental health services. "God willing, it's going to save a lot of lives," Biden said. |

If you've taken a home rapid COVID-19 test and are wondering if getting a faint line means you've tested positive, you're not alone. We spoke to experts who said a faint line counts as a positive test. "Sometimes it's not quite a line; it can be like a fuzz," one doctor told us. "But if you see a line there, it's there." If you still are unsure, doctors recommend that you take another rapid test a day or two later, and if your second test is also faint or you don't have a line at all, a PCR test is a good next step to confirm whether you have Covid or not. |

Way before Jennifer Aniston became a "Friends" icon, her dad was a certified soap opera legend. Jennifer sweetly celebrated her father, John Aniston, 88, with a video message as he was given a lifetime achievement award at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards for his iconic role as suave businessman Victor Kiriakis on "Days of Our Lives" for the past 37 years. "It's an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it's also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievement of a great and well-respected actor who also happens to be my dad," Aniston said. |
