txtWeb in September: 51115 Rewards, PUSH & REST based Pull API and more

Hey there Developers!

September has been an action packed month for the txtWeb platform. There have been new developments in the way you can use APIs , new features, innovations and a host of brand new ideas. The month has seen developers surpass all expectations to create fantastic apps with content, utility and information that users hanker after. Let's get right to the round-up of the latest updates:

51115 Rewards Program Winners!

We salute the winners of the 51115 Rewards Program! Congratulations to the Winners for July and August.

We appreciate the great work you do and can't wait to see the new heights that you reach in the coming months!  You can get the details on the winners on the leaderboard here. Developers who have won, your payout will reach you shortly. Read about the latest winners on our blog.

PUSH API Update

We've revamped our PUSH API feature to make it more user-friendly. From now on only subscribers will be able to get notifications making your audience more relevant. Even DND users will be able to receive push notifications, provided they agree to receive them. Also now, your apps will need to be reviewed before they can use the PUSH feature. To submit your existing app using PUSH API, go to the dashboard and hit submit!

Your app will be reviewed for approval within 24 hours. For more information on the PUSH feature visit this Tutorial.

REST Based PULL API

Developer Murali Krishna has come up with the phenomenal API- the Rest Based PULL API.  This API will allow you to:

·         Notify users about the changes or improvements in your app

·      Take users on a tour of your txtWeb apps, send notifications to DND users

·         Avoid overburdening users with Push messages that could make them unsubscribe from your app.

The best part is that's extremely simple to implement, find out how.

A Case Study on txtWeb by GSMA Mobile for Development

GSMA Mobile for Development published a case study on txtWeb that explores the platform's approach so far, the challenges and the future of the platform. Read the entire case study to find out how txtWeb stimulates entrepreneurship for developers and what apps work best on the platform and much more.
