Fighter jets were scrambled yesterday afternoon to investigate a private plane that was flying off-course over the Washington, D.C., area before ultimately crashing in southwest Virginia. The jets, which shadowed the Cessna until it crashed, created a sonic boom that rattled the nation's capital. Fighter pilots from Capital Guardians, a unit of the National Guard, determined that the pilot was incapacitated, a senior government official told NBC News. No survivors had been found by last night, and the search was suspended. Officials said four people were on board. Here's the latest. |

Does your boyfriend feel compelled to announce everything he's about to do before he does it, even if it's just getting milk from the fridge? Or maybe your girlfriend loves Bruce Springsteen so much that she's been to 89 concerts and counting? These might be a "beige flag" in your relationship, according to the latest TikTok trend. Existing somewhere between a red flag and a green flag, a beige flag is "a super niche idiosyncrasy that is kind of funny, weird and unique, but not necessarily bad or not necessarily good," a dating coach told TODAY.com. If your boyfriend knows all the lyrics to every Jack Harlow song and sings them nonstop, that could be a beige flag. Are they something to worry about in a relationship? See what dating experts have to say. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Got you, Mrs. McGrath! In an epic senior prank, the head of a Delaware boarding school came downstairs at 6 a.m. in her bathrobe and Crocs to find the entire senior class sleeping around her kitchen. Joy McGrath had the ultimate "not before I've had my coffee" moment, as her jaw dropped and she immediately retreated out of the room. "I was in shock. They were in every possible corner like sardines," McGrath told TODAY.com. McGrath somehow never woke up as more than 70 students crammed into her home overnight. Her husband, who was in on it, let them inside at 1 a.m. Once McGrath composed herself, she returned downstairs and welcomed the class by saying, "Good morning, little bunnies!" See the hilarious video here. |
