Quinta Brunson wasn't going to let Jimmy Kimmel's poorly received stunt during her win at the Emmy Awards get her down. Kimmel lay on the stage as part of a bit after losing the best variety show award, requiring Brunson to step over him on her way to the microphone. While some fans found it "highly disrespectful" and "incredibly rude," Brunson took it in stride; a photo later showed her jokingly covering Kimmel's face with her Emmy trophy. Parents across the country are bursting with joy as they share footage of their young Black children reacting to seeing actor Halle Bailey as Ariel in trailers for Disney's live-action "The Little Mermaid," which comes out next year. One TikTok video shows Rylie, 2, and her sister McKenzie, 4, mesmerized as they see Bailey on the television. "My wife and I both had tears in our eyes," their father, William Fleming, told us. "There's no question our kids were looking at the TV and thinking, 'She looks like me.' Seeing diversity in Disney movies is so important.
