Don't make this 1 diet mistake
|
Registered dietitian Vanessa Rissetto stopped by TODAY to share the top dieting mistakes people should avoid and how to healthily reach your goals instead. One of the biggest mistakes she sees? Cutting out entire food groups, namely, carbs.
"Carbs are not bad. They are our major energy source and we need them for fuel," she said. People are often scared of carbs because they don't actually know what carbs are or how much we need to eat, she added.
When it comes to carbs, think beyond bread and cookies. Here are some healthy carbs to load up on: - Whole grains like quinoa
- Starchy vegetables like broccoli
- Pulses like lentils
Avoid these 5 other diet mistakes, too. | |
