We're so glad you're here.
You did it! After all, the journey to better health starts with the first step.
Start TODAY is the destination to help you become a healthier, happier and better you. It's all about overcoming the biggest hurdle — getting started. Powered by community, expert health advice, walking challenges, fitness routines, nutrition guides, meal plans and mindfulness techniques, Start TODAY gives you the tools to be the best version of yourself — and we'll be cheering you on every step of the way. This month's challenge is chock full of inspiration, easy (and effective!) workouts, healthy meal plans and recipe ideas, mental health tips and more. Get in the right mindset with these tips:
|
Now's the the perfect time to get in the habit of a daily walk! Whether you walk outdoors, on a treadmill or around the mall, each step counts! Walking is a proven mood booster — and can even ease some the stress the new year brings. |
Think about why you want to do this challenge and write it down. Whether you want to feel happier or maybe you wish you had more energy to play with your kids, your reason is bound to be complex. You probably have more than one reason. But for the sake of giving yourself a reminder, boil it all down to one word. "Happy," or "kids," or "sanity" are all great! Write that word down and whenever you get stressed this month, use that one word as a reminder that you are actively working to stay healthy. |
3. Make healthy eating even easier |
Meal planning isn't as daunting as it sounds. Spend just 10 or 15 minutes mapping out your meals, jot down what you need and head to the store. The good news is that we've done all the thinking for you with our dietitian-designed meal plans. |
4. Invite a friend to join you |
There's no reason to go it alone — unless you want to. Figure out who you're going to do this challenge with. If you have a friend who will join you locally, that's great! Plan to do some of your workouts together. |
5. Join our Start TODAY Facebook group |
Join other Start TODAY walkers on Facebook and introduce yourself!
