A year and a half ago, Monyka Wood stepped on a scale and didn't like the number she saw. The weight she had gained after giving birth to her daughter that was starting to impact her health and how she felt about herself. "I thought, 'It's time. I've put it off and put it off. Starting today, this needs to happen,'" she told TODAY.
And boy, did Monyka make it happen! She found a fitness routine she loved, overhauled her diet, and started running. Now, she's lost 78 pounds and last weekend she completed her first marathon!
Monyka said that the Start TODAY Facebook Group helped her stay motivated. But she knows that the group is there for her, no matter how her goals evolve. "No matter what stage in my health journey I am in, it will always be a work in progress, and I love the motivation from the group to keep making lifestyle changes," she told us.
