The hustle and bustle of the holiday season has a lot of us trying to remember if we're supposed to stuff the Christmas tree or decorate the turkey. With all the celebrating, it can feel really hard to fit fitness in. The good news is that you don't have to exercise for hours at a time to see — and feel — a difference. Try "exercise snacking," instead! The basic idea of exercise snacking is to squeeze bursts of activity into the nooks and crannies of everyday life. Bored of commercials? Try squatting through them! Got ten minutes before guests arrive? Take a walk around the block! Studies show that even quick exercise breaks can reduce your anxiety and curb sugar cravings. Plus, we all need to remember to take care of ourselves as we run around trying to create good cheer in the world, and exercise is a great way to make you feel good in your body and mind.
