Attorneys for former President Donald Trump filed a motion yesterday asking a Florida judge to order the appointment of a special master to oversee the handling of the documents seized in the search of his Mar-a-Lago estate two weeks ago. The filing also called for the judge to require the Justice Department to return materials not covered by the scope of the search warrant, calling the decision to search Mar-a-Lago "shockingly aggressive." "The Aug. 8 search warrant at Mar-a-Lago was authorized by a federal court upon the required finding of probable cause," a Justice Department official said in response. |

After police searched for missing California teen Kiely Rodni for two weeks, a group of volunteer divers called Adventures with Purpose took less than 48 hours to find a car submerged in a lake with human remains inside that police said yesterday is "more than likely" Rodni. The group used sonar to locate the vehicle in Prosser Lake in Truckee, not far from where Rodni was last seen on Aug. 6 after a party. "To help families and utilize those skills that we have is an honor, and that's our purpose," one of the divers told NBC News. California authorities are investigating the matter as an accident. |

She struggled to get pregnant in between surgeries before having 78 fibroids removed in 2020. After years of frustration, she was able to get pregnant through in-vitro fertilization and gave birth to her son in March. "I didn't really give up, but I was just tired and over it," she told us. "I was just like, 'Maybe I'm not supposed to be a mom,' even though deep down, I know I'm supposed to be a mother." |

Mike Huss couldn't really see himself with a career in education when he worked as a janitor at Ione Elementary School in California, but his family thought otherwise. He earned a teaching degree with their encouragement and support, and now he is the principal of the school where he once worked as a janitor. "I wanted to show my young son that if your dad can do this, if your dad can be the school janitor coaching youth sports, maintain a good grade-point average and become a school teacher, you can accomplish anything in this life," he told NBC affiliate KCRA. |
