The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 yesterday that the right to carry a gun outside the home is provided by the Constitution in a major decision involving Second Amendment rights. The ruling could affect the ability of state and local governments to impose a variety of firearms regulations. Hours later, the Senate passed the most sweeping bill to prevent gun violence in decades, which is expected to be voted on by the House today and sent to President Biden for his signature.

U.S. swimmer saved by coach after fainting in pool tells TODAY: 'Everything went black.'

U.S. artistic swimmer Anita Alvarez spoke to TODAY about the dramatic scene at a competition in Budapest when she lost consciousness in the pool and was rescued by her coach, Andrea Fuentes. "Everything went black and that was kind of it," Alvarez said. The 25-year-old was submerged for nearly two minutes and her lungs filled with water, but she had a pulse and began gasping for air after Fuentes hauled her up to the pool deck. She came out to find Frankie being attacked by a bald eagle that had the poor goose in its clutches.
