Self-isolating and social distancing are important, but as the days blur into weeks, it's increasingly difficult to feel sane.

One trick to handle the stress is to routinely check in with yourself. An important question to ask daily is: What are my priorities today?

"It's really difficult to make any kind of long-term plan when you don't know what's going to be safe or feasible," said Allison Buskirk-Cohen, chair of the psychology department at Delaware Valley University.

"Instead, I recommend concentrating on the present. Lists are helpful to me." Crossing off items from a daily list can provide a sense of accomplishment and help you maintain focus on priorities.
