It's hard to ignore hunger, a powerful drive designed to get your attention. Regular meals should calm it down, but what if you're always in the mood for another bite of food, no matter how much you eat?

Hunger is complicated and can be triggered by reasons other than an empty stomach.

Psychological signals, like food marketing on TV and the constant stream of food photos on social media, can trigger people to eat often and a lot, experts say. The more you eat, the more you want to eat and the larger the stomach gets.

Don't make yourself hungrier than you need to be: Limit your exposure to TV and social media. Don't spend all day looking at beautiful photos of food on Instagram.
