TODAY One Small Thing
For some people, food has become something we use to reward or even punish ourselves with. Whether it's after a killer workout, or a stressful day, food = reward. While on the surface, using food as a reward system (or punishment) may seem harmless, but it's actually this exact line of thinking that lays the groundwork for our relationship with food, for better or for worse.

Personal trainer Anna Victoria has this advice for the next time you find yourself wondering whether you "deserve" something or not: Shift your mind instead to eating according to the 80/20 rule. This is when you eat with the intention of fueling your body with nutritious whole, natural foods, 80 percent of the time. This will help you maintain optimal health. The other 20 percent of the time is when you eat whatever you'd like! This is important for your mental and emotional health so you don't feel restricted or like you're on a "diet".
