There's something about the crisp air and the start of the school year that makes me want a new haircut every fall. It's a fresh start, a chance to try a major chop or change and see how it makes you feel. Plus, with less humidity in the air, it's the season of cooperative strands (hallelujah)! TODAY Style contributor Aly Walansky spoke to some top celebrity hairstylists to get their best recommendations for a new cut. Overall, they say this season is all about short styles.

And as we pack up our summer sundresses, we're looking to denim to spruce up our fall wardrobes. When it comes to jeans, we're ALL about the high-waisted look. As our hilarious writer Donna Freydkin put it: "Fashion trends come and go, but muffin tops are forever." Preach, sister!
