Are You Trying? How to Handle Questions About Getting Pregnant
Once you share the news that you're trying, unsolicited (and often ridiculous) advice on the best ways to make a baby will undoubtedly start pouring in from all sides of the family. (This includes standing on your head after sex, drinking cough syrup and doing it during the day with the lights on as ways to increase your chances of getting pregnant—all false!) The best way to handle these well-meaning armchair docs is to smile and just thank them for their advice. And, of course, read up on real ways to get pregnant quickly.

Get Pregnant Faster Tip

Swear off douches and vaginal sprays. Although you may have used these products for years, they can disrupt the normal pH balance in your vagina and create a hostile environment for sperm (yikes!). Douches are especially bad because they can wash away cervical mucus that helps your partner's sperm travel to your egg.
