The House of Representatives is expected to expel indicted New York Rep. George Santos today, which would make him just the third lawmaker since the Civil War to be removed from the House. Santos survived two previous attempts to expel him, but that was before the House Ethics Committee issued a damning 56-page report detailing allegations that Santos deceived his donors, filed false campaign statements and spent campaign money on lavish trips to Las Vegas, Botox, and a subscription to the adult-content site OnlyFans. Santos is also facing a 23-count federal indictment charging him with wire fraud and money laundering. He would be just the sixth person in history to be expelled from the House, and the first since 2002. Here's what happens next. |

The study defined casual walking as less than 2 miles per hour, and normal walking as between 2 and 3 miles per hour. Researchers also found that a brisk pace of more than 4 mph was associated with a 39% reduced risk of Type 2 diabetes. Continue reading. |

Celeb chef (and impressively shredded human) Ronnie Woo swears that every person he's ever made these butter chicken meatballs for absolutely loved them. Bake the meatballs before simmering them in a sauce made with ginger, garlic, garam masala and other good stuff, including your choice of either heavy cream or full-fat coconut milk. These freeze really well, so make a big batch. Get the recipe. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Santa may need to make extra time to watch some PowerPoint presentations this year while crossing off his "nice" and "naughty" lists. To argue their case to their parents for why they should get certain presents for Christmas, kids on TikTok are ditching handwritten lists and making full electronic slideshows with links and screenshots. One crafty teen's slideshow included a disclaimer: "Please don't get mad at me; I get good grades; I do NOT expect all of this," while requesting some pricey Lululemon clothing. See more here. |
