As a mystery respiratory illness affecting dogs spreads across the country, veterinarians are sharing tips on how to keep your dog safe while they work to determine the cause of it. The illness starts with a cough that can last for several weeks, and dogs can quickly develop severe pneumonia in some cases. The contagious illness spreads when dogs come in contact with each other, so experts recommend that anyone traveling for the holidays should avoid boarding their dog if possible. Owners are also urged to avoid dog parks and pet groomers, where your pet could come in contact with an infected dog. See all the tips here. |

Beloved TODAY weatherman Al Roker will be back hosting this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, one year after health issues caused him to miss the event for the first time in 27 years. Achieve your life and health goals with easy tips. |
You don't have to be sprinting all-out on the treadmill in order to get results. The 12-3-30 workout can help with weight loss, endurance and building strength, all by walking. The workout involves walking on a treadmill incline setting of 12 at 3 miles per hour for 30 minutes. TikToker Lauren Giraldo, who popularized the workout, showed how it helped her lose 30 pounds by doing it five times per week. She also noted that it took a little while for her to complete the full 30 minutes. Experts advise to gradually increase the incline to 12 rather than risking injury by starting at such a high level, and to also make sure to build in recovery days to avoid overuse injuries. A little pick-me-up before you go. |
It was not a fairy-tale ending for a woman who ordered a forest fairy-themed cake for her granddaughter's birthday. The difference between what she requested (above, left) and what arrived (above, right) had her wanting to send the $200 phallic nightmare to never-never land. "This is the worst cake I've ever seen in my life," she said in a TikTok video. Everyone loves a good cake fail. "It looks like play doh," one commenter wrote. |
