Prince Harry took his fight with the British tabloids to a historic new stage this morning when he became the first high-ranking member of the British family to testify in court since 1891, when Edward VII took the stand after one of his opponents in a card game was accused of cheating. The Duke of Sussex gave evidence at London's High Court in his case against the publishers of Britain's Daily Mirror tabloid, which he has accused of hacking his phone and using other illegal newsgathering tactics. He faces two days of questioning by a senior trial lawyer, who court-watchers say may prod him for details of his life with his wife, Meghan, and the rest of the royal family. Here's the latest. |

Depending on who you ask, the new Apple Vision Pro is either the wave of the future, a dystopian creation straight out of "Black Mirror," or a dorky cousin to Google Glass. The tech giant unveiled its virtual reality and augmented reality headset at its California headquarters yesterday in its biggest new hardware offering since the original iPhone. The hefty $3,499 price tag makes it the most expensive VR headset on the consumer market (and the target of plenty of jokes). Apple demonstrated how it can be used for 3D apps, immersive movies, educational content, web surfing and video games. The device allows users to look through the headset and change the display using your eyes, hands and voice. Read more here. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Forget "best regards" or "I won't be answering emails until this time." One working mom's email signature is telling it like it is this summer. Meg St-Espirit, 39, a freelance journalist and mother of four from Pittsburgh, gets right to the point about why she might not get back to people in a timely fashion. "Please note I may be slower to respond to email in the months of June, July and August due to the United States' inability to provide affordable childcare for working mothers," her email signature reads. St-Espirit told TODAY.com she reached a breaking point after a snippy email about why she didn't respond within 24 hours. "I work with a lot of clients, so I thought maybe I should delete it," St-Espirit said. "Then people started to reply to it, writing: 'Side note: I love this.'" Read more here. |
