Mark Mongiardo repeatedly got called into his boss's office for smelling like alcohol at work and ended up with two DWIs that caused him to be put on administrative leave, all without having a single drop of alcohol. Mongiardo learned he had auto-brewery syndrome, a rare disorder in which the gastrointestinal tract converts food into alcohol. Mongiardo took a test with a doctor in which he consumed a sugary beverage, and his blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) went from zero to 0.14 — nearly twice the legal limit to drive — in an hour. Mongiardo shared the dietary changes he needed to make once he was diagnosed, and how he's rebuilding his life after the DWI charges cost him his job. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Jennifer Aniston was all of us who suddenly felt a million years old when she was told in a recent interview that Cole Sprouse, who played Ross' toddler son, Ben, on "Friends," is now 30 years old. "What?!" she said while throwing her hands in the air alongside her "Murder Mystery 2" co-star Adam Sandler. Sprouse told TODAY.com in 2019 that he used to have a crush on Aniston as a kid when he was playing Ben. That also was news to Aniston when she was told about it in the interview with "Access Hollywood." "He was so little," she said. Sprouse and his twin brother, Dylan, also starred as Sandler's son in the 1999 hit "Big Daddy." "I set the table for those kids to hop on 'Friends,'" Sandler joked. "That was one thing Jen said when I first met her: 'Would you please break in the children for us?'" |
