At the start of the new year, you don't need to stress about learning a whole new workout routine. Love Squad CEO Ally Love stopped by Studio 1A with small moves you can make that will have a big impact on your health and fitness. Here's one you can try right now: Start with your arms in a W position with your hands at shoulder height. You can use light weights — or not! Extend your arms towards the sky and straighten your elbows until your arms are in a Y position. Bring your arms back to W and repeat. Pro tip: Keep your shoulder blades as stable as possible while you move your arms. This one move uses your deltoids, biceps, triceps and the stabilizing muscles in your shoulder and upper back. If you do it standing, your glutes and core muscles are also activated. That's a lot of payoff for one small move! How many should you do? Well, as Love said on the show, it may be easier to think in time instead of reps. Try doing as many as you can for 30 seconds. If you've got more juice, do 30 seconds more! |
