Downing cup after cup of coffee might keep the body energized and alert, but it could be having a dangerous effect on the brain.
Drinking more than six cups of coffee a day was associated with a 53% increased risk of dementia and a smaller brain volume, a new study has found.
"We all know that coffee affects the brain," one neurologist said. "Too much of anything is probably not good."
