Feel less sad with this one technique to improve your mood

Sometimes, sadness can feel like it's taking over and it can be hard to separate your feelings from other parts of your life. But a new study says that one way to distance yourself from negative emotions is to imagine those emotions as another person and describe how that person looks to you to make it real. The technique allows people to "think of an emotion as a person who is separate from themselves, which makes them feel more detached from the sadness."
