Nearly five months after announcing her divorce from the NFL superstar, the supermodel is opening up about their split in a new interview with Vanity Fair. When asked if his decision to un-retire and play one more year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past season played a role in their divorce, she said: "What's been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle. It's not so black and white." She went on to say: "As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make," before adding that this period feels "like a death and rebirth." The death of Stephen Smith, a South Carolina teen who was found on a rural road around 15 miles from the home of now-convicted killer Alex Murdaugh is being investigated as a homicide, a state law enforcement agency said yesterday. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) said it has been investigating the 2015 death of Smith, 19, as a homicide since 2021. No one has been arrested or charged in Smith's death. An autopsy report in 2015 listed the cause of death as being struck by a vehicle while Smith was a pedestrian, but his family has said it does not believe his death was a hit-and-run. Smith was a classmate of Buster Murdaugh, the surviving son of Alex Murdaugh, who has denied any involvement with Smith's death. |

An eyewitness testified yesterday that actor and wellness mogul Gwyneth Paltrow crashed into another skier at Utah's Deer Valley Resort in 2016 and left him with serious injuries. Paltrow's lawyer disputed that sequence of events, during which she is accused of causing Terry Sanderson "to suffer a concussion, brain injury and four broken ribs." Paltrow has denied being at fault and said Sanderson was exploiting her for her wealth and celebrity. Sanderson is seeking $300,000, amended down from a prior request for $3.1 million. Paltrow is countersuing Sanderson for $1. Eyewitness Craig Ramon said in court yesterday that he witnessed Paltrow "slam into the back" of Sanderson and then leave the scene of the crash without asking if he needed help, which Paltrow's attorneys disputed. If you've never had a frico bowl, chef Anthony Scotto has the perfect introduction with his Reggiano frico recipe. The frico bowl is made of baked parmesan cheese and can also be used for salads or in place of tortillas on taco night. Anthony's recipe combines it with prosciutto, cannellini beans, tomatoes, peppers and more for a tasty Italian meal with a cheesy crunch. The key is to immediately remove the frico from the oven and place it over a can or bowl to make it form a bowl-like structure. Get the recipe here. |

A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Shelly Battista and her husband Robert figured their family was done growing when she received a "terrifying" breast cancer diagnosis in 2020. However, two years after undergoing a double mastectomy and having her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed, she gave birth to twins. The heartwarming additions to the family came thanks to advances in fertility treatments, which Shelly's doctor advised her to begin before starting chemotherapy. Her uterus was intact, so she was still able to go through with the pregnancy, which ended with her daughters being born on the two-year anniversary of her being declared cancer-free. "It's like, you've beaten cancer, and now here's this extra love you get on top of it," Robert told TODAY. "It will be the most important day of the year in our family." See their full story here. |
