The fourth public hearing yesterday by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol focused on emotional testimony from election officials and low-level workers who said they were bullied and threatened in a bid to try to overturn the 2020 election. Georgia election worker Shaye Moss testified that people came to her grandmother's house looking for her and her mother, another election worker, to make a "citizen's arrest" after former President Trump called her mother "a professional vote scammer." "I felt so helpless and horrible for her," Moss said. "She was screaming. I told her to close the door and don't open the door for anyone." |

Want to know how long you may live? Stand on one foot for 10 seconds and try to stay balanced. Brazilian researchers found that older adults who failed a 10-second balance test were nearly twice as likely to die in the next 10 years, according to a report published yesterday in the British Journal of Sports Medicine that focused on 1,702 subjects from ages 51 to 75. Poor balance and musculoskeletal fitness can be linked with frailty in older adults, but the exact reason why a loss of balance can predict death is not yet known, the study's lead author told us. |

When she isn't busting bad guys as Capt. Olivia Benson on "Law & Order: SVU," Mariska Hargitay is a mom of three. She recently shared a rare photo of her three children, August, 15, Amaya, 11, and Andrew, 10, with husband and fellow actor Peter Hermann in honor of Father's Day. In the pic, the family shares a sweet hug during a mountain adventure in Italy. Mariska wasn't the only celebrity giving a glimpse of her family for Father's Day — Justin Timberlake shared a photo of his sons, Silas, 7, and Phineas, 1, performing an adorable duet on the piano. |
