| Today's workout is a 20-minute leisurely walk — a great way to ease into a new week.
We've got a new mental health challenge this week. We'll be focusing on making your walk your "happy hour." Before you hit the pavement, take a few minutes to prepare a mocktail as a celebratory sip when you return home. We love a big glass of water with a lemon slice, freshly sliced cucumbers or berries. Make it even more special by opting for sparkling water or adding an herb like mint. Do this each night as a reward for taking the time to move your body and do something for your health. You'll begin to look forward to enjoying a hydrating, tasty beverage after logging your steps each day!

For lunch today, enjoy a Corn, Quinoa and Feta Salad. It's light and fresh, but surprisingly filling thanks to protein-and fiber-packed quinoa and lentils. This all-in-one meal can be made and portioned ahead of time, so make a big batch and enjoy it throughout the week. Just store the vinaigrette separately and mix with the salad right before serving. Here's your meal plan for today: See something you don't like? Swap it with another recipe in your weekly plan. |

104-year-old woman shares secrets to a happy life
|
On April 21, Antoinette Inserra celebrated her 104th birthday. When people hear Antoinette Inserra's age, they're often curious to learn about her secrets to longevity. Her philosophy is simple: "I take care of myself. I do what I have to do. Once you take care of yourself, everything gets done," she says.
Here are a few of the healthy habits she attributes to her happiness:
- Maintain a positive attitude: Throughout her life, Inserra has tried to navigate any challenges with calmness. "What can you do when something happens? You just let it go, you do what you can and that's it," she says.
- Find hobbies you enjoy: Inserra enjoys shopping and loves to gamble. She says that getting out of the house regularly helps her feel young again.
- Eat a balanced diet. Inserra eats a balanced diet that consists of a few of her favorite foods: soft-shell crabs, pepperoni and plenty of veggies — spinach is her go-to. She also enjoys a daily glass of her favorite alcoholic beverage.
