Search and rescue efforts are continuing today as the death toll steadily climbs from yesterday's devastating earthquakes in southeastern Turkey near the border with Syria. At least 3,419 people were dead in Turkey and more than 1,500 in Syria, according to officials. Thousands more have been injured and many others are buried under rubble. About 23 million people have been affected by the quakes, the World Health Organization said.
