The beloved TODAY weatherman is set to make his return to the show on Friday after being off the air for weeks due to medical issues. Al, 68, was admitted to the hospital in mid-November due to blood clots in his legs and lungs, but returned home around Thanksgiving. He then had to return to the hospital for a second stay that caused him to miss the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree last month. He was discharged from the hospital on Dec. 8 and expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of well wishes from TODAY fans and colleagues during the "tough slog." Tune in on Friday, Jan. 6, to see Al's big return! |

These two best friends do just about everything together — including giving birth. Shauna Wheeler, 41, and Ivy Chichester, 37, found out they were pregnant at the same time, and then had their babies only two days apart at the same hospital last month. It was the latest coincidence between two best friends who had their older children only a week apart — plus, Wheeler shares a birthday with Chichester's sister. "It felt surreal, but also right," Chichester told us. "It felt like we were meant to be at the hospital at the same time, and we were meant to have our babies around the same time, and that our friendship was meant to be." |
