State and federal authorities announced a host of criminal charges yesterday against David DePape, 42, the suspect in a brutal attack last week on Paul Pelosi, 82, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The complaint alleges that DePape sought to kidnap Nancy Pelosi at her San Francisco home, and he said in an interview with police that he was going to break her kneecaps if she "lied." The suspect is also alleged to have told investigators that "by breaking Nancy's kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions." The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback made his first public comments yesterday since announcing his divorce on Oct. 28, which ended his 13-year marriage to Gisele Bundchen. "I think there's a lot of professionals in life that go through things that they deal with at work and they deal with at home," Brady said on his "Let's Go!" podcast released yesterday. "Obviously, the good news is it's a very amicable situation and I'm really focused on two things, taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games." Florida news anchor Matt Austin is defending his teen daughters after a photo of them in their homecoming dresses received critical comments. Austin said he was "fuming" after people wrote that he should be "ashamed" that his daughters wore short dresses to the dance. He filmed a TikTok response that has gone viral. "It's not my daughters' job to make sure your son is focused in school," he said in the video. "Also not her job to dress hideous enough to where your son doesn't assault her. It's your job to not raise a pervert with no self-control." He also commented on the 3 negative things he would be teaching his daughters if he started dictating what they wear. |
