Protests against the war in Gaza are now happening on at least 20 college campuses across the country, sparked by one at Columbia University last week. Last night at the University of Southern California, 93 people were arrested, according to police, while 34 were arrested at a demonstration at the University of Texas. Jessie Malone was feeling nauseated after dog-sitting for a friend, so she figured she'd go home for a nap. That's when an alarm on her Apple Watch began blaring. A little pick-me-up before you go. |
Tracy Dixon-Salazar's daughter Savannah began experiencing hundreds of seizures a day as a child due to epilepsy, but doctors didn't know why, she told us. Dixon-Salazar was so frustrated, she returned to school and earned a Ph.D. in neurobiology. Armed with her knowledge, she discovered an issue with her daughter's calcium that led a 95% reduction in seizures thanks to a change in her medication. Savannah, now 30, has been thriving since the discovery. "We picked out a dress, and it was the first time in our lives that we did something normal as a mother and a daughter," Dixon-Salazar told us through tears. "It was pretty cool." |
