We've been shopping online more often during the pandemic, and even now that we're venturing out into the world more, we're hardly ready to forfeit the convenience of having household essentials delivered to our front door. Still, when you factor in pesky shipping fees, the hidden costs of online shopping can add up. Luckily, we came across a subscription service that can save you up to $68 per month on shipping and 2.5 hours a week: Walmart+.
As a Walmart+ member, you get free shipping from Walmart.com with no order minimum and can also get groceries delivered for free from your local store (with a $35 minimum purchase). There are three ways to sign up: a 15-day free trial, a month subscription for $12.95 or a $98 annual plan. Signing up is easy and everything arrives quickly (Walmart+ eligible items get next day or two-day shipping).
Shopping for spring cleaning supplies can take hours when you factor in a trip to the store and wandering the aisles to find everything you need. But browsing online means less time spent on the shopping part and more time to focus on cleaning. And we're not alone. On average, Walmart+ members save 2.5 hours a week getting items delivered (compared to making three store trips!).
The financial savings also add up: Walmart shoppers typically pay $7.95 for grocery deliveries, but can save $68 per month with free unlimited delivery (this savings is based on two deliveries per week). And because we all inevitably forget to add items to our cart the first time around, we'll definitely be using the service at least two times a week to order odds and ends.
