February 18: The Sun enters Pisces
February 23: The Sun conjuncts Neptune
You may find yourself feeling extra-sensitive as the Sun enters the ethereal Water sign of Pisces, where it joins Pisces' ruling planet, Neptune. While accessing your logical mind may feel like blindly searching for a life raft in the middle of a churning ocean, you'll discover answers to your questions if you tune into the most imaginative realms of your creativity. Numerous innovative people have been born under the sign of the Fish, including Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and Anais Nin. Use this solar period to tap into your own muse -- you'll be amazed by what you discover! The Sun will remain in Pisces until March 20.

February 18: The north node enters Libra; the south node enters Aries
The north node represents the future, where you can develop fresh approaches and make new connections; the south node represents the past and everything you can learn from it. While the south node can certainly be helpful, too much identification with it can inhibit your development. As the nodal axis shifts into a pair of new signs, Libra and Aries, you're asked to create better balance in your relationships. You'll succeed if you energize Libra's principles by supporting others; also, be sure to guard against becoming too self-involved. If you know the houses in your own chart through which the nodes are transiting, you can apply these themes to the current Aries-Libra polarity.

February 19: Mercury squares Saturn
With the communication planet retrograde in Aquarius, your mind is likely working overtime, and you may not be paying much attention to what people are saying. With Saturn in Scorpio, people are withholding their true thoughts as they build trust. When you speak now, choose your words carefully and be extra-considerate. Also, don't blab about secrets -- if you do, people are unlikely to trust you with important information.

February 24: Jupiter squares Uranus
Are you ready to do something different? Change is inevitable as Jupiter in protective Cancer is challenged by Uranus in bold Aries. New circumstances, environments, and people can open up your life, but you must be willing to leave worn-out ideas behind. If you're feeling restless, this is a sign that something needs to change -- and it's up to you to figure out what that change will be. Be open to alterations in plans to make the most of this crucial aspect.

February 28: Mercury turns direct
Mercury turned retrograde in Pisces on February 6 before re-entering Aquarius on February 12. Now it's time to incorporate everything you've learned this month! Hopefully you've used Mercury's retrograde period well and have informed yourself of all your options. Ordinarily, this would be an ideal time to get your revamped ideas out into the world, but since Mars turns retrograde on March 1, it will be difficult to get your plans in motion now. Still, you'll want to let people know about your ideas -- just keep in mind that it may take longer than originally planned for the seeds you've planted to bloom.

February 28: New Moon in Pisces
You may not know if you're coming or going as a new lunar phase begins in the midst of several planets changing direction. Should you invest in your goals? Yes! Should you expect results right away? No! Your best course of action is to simplify your schedule for the next couple of weeks and carve out alone-time to catch up with yourself. Listen to music, walk in nature, or write in your journal. If you rest, you'll gain inner strength and a fresh perspective -- which in turn will help you deal with all your commitments.

March 1: Mars turns retrograde
Have you noticed delays occurring recently? Are people around you second-guessing what they want? As action planet Mars slows down and turns retrograde until May 20, very little gets a green light. Whether it's a cause that's close to your heart, a relationship, or a project you'd like to advance, it's time to put on the brakes, slow down, and make a U-turn of your own. Mars turns retrograde once every two years, and when it does, just like with any retrograde period, it signals a time to review what you've already set in motion. You now get a chance to straighten out and strategize any issues, projects, and plans that have been on the front burner since last December, when Mars entered Libra. Give extra attention to your relationships as Mars backtracks into a major aspect pattern -- a Grand Cross -- which will be exact in April. Most importantly, pace yourself and don't try to jam anything forward should you encounter closed doors and closed minds. For inspiration, keep in mind this inspiring quote from Gandhi: "When we see that we have gone wrong, it is our duty to retrace our footsteps and proceed again by the right path."

March 2: Saturn turns retrograde
Have you taken charge of your life in positive ways since Saturn entered Scorpio in October 2012? With this powerful planet's change in direction, give your undivided attention to any projects and ideas you haven't had time to fully explore. If you do, this will help you build a firm foundation to attain future goals! With Mars and Saturn both retrograde, now is the time to cultivate patience, for very little is moving forward -- and many people are not on their best behavior. Keep your inner control-freak in check; also, watch and listen carefully to what people do and say. Saturn will remain retrograde through July 20.

March 3: The Sun sextiles Pluto
The Sun's entrance into Pisces last month signaled an ideal time to tune into your dreams and goals. Now, as this inspiring and opportunistic aspect finds Pluto in ambitious Capricorn, people with clout are ready to invest in you! Make sure you let these individuals know about you and your plans so you can make the most of this powerful time!

March 5: Venus enters Aquarius
Venus finally leaves Capricorn, where it has spent an unusually long time (four months!) due to its recent retrograde in this practical sign. Hopefully you've reviewed your commitments and made decisions about your most important relationships during this time. As the love planet now enters the sign of friendship, it's time to socialize! Join groups, attend events, and go to parties. You now have an opportunity to meet new people with whom you possess plenty of shared interests; you can also strengthen bonds with those you already know. If you're in a relationship, this is a wonderful time to make friends with new couples. And if you're single and looking for love, be sure to take advantage of this transit that will last until April 5!

March 6: Jupiter turns direct
Jupiter entered Cancer, the sign that rules family and home, last June 16. Since then, you may have moved, fixed up your house, or focused on improving your family relationships. When this big planet turned retrograde on November 6, some of your bigger life plans may have been put on hold: You may have cut back on spending or simply reviewed your plans for the future. Now, as Jupiter begins to move forward, it's time for you to also move ahead and invest in your goals and projects. Even though Mars just turned retrograde on March 1 -- a development that's perhaps delayed some of your plans -- use this Jupiter-direct period to invest wisely in long-term goals in which you hold a bigger stake.

March 10: Mercury squares Saturn
March 14: Mercury trines Mars
Mercury's square to Saturn in Scorpio marks the third time in recent months (due to Mercury's recent retrograde) that the planet of communication has encountered authoritative Saturn. People have needed to find out if you're trustworthy and can deliver on your promises, so hopefully you've used this time to develop your ideas and strengthen your connections. If so, as Mercury trines retrograde Mars, you're set to enjoy an opportunity to reconnect with potentially helpful people. Use this time to reach out!

March 13: The Sun trines Saturn
March 16: The Sun quincunxes Mars
Even though you may have to straighten out a pesky problem or troublesome person as the Sun quincunxes retrograde Mars, you still have plenty to feel good about since certain people want to do all they can to help you as the Sun trines Saturn. You'll get the best results if you don't try to push anything forward that isn't yet ready to move. Maximize opportunities from those who are prepared to lend a hand, and don't hesitate to walk away from people -- at least for now -- who aren't ready to act!

March 16: Full Moon in Virgo
Are you content? Full Moons highlight your emotional connections with others, as well as your own personal feelings of well-being. Since Virgo represents your day-to-day work, as well as your schedules and routines, the way in which you approach this important area of your life is extra-important now. Are you organized? Or do you frequently find yourself trying to catch up on all the things you need to do? Are you relaxed much of the time, or are you resigned to stress being a part of your life? As you think about how you handle your daily life, make a plan to take better care of yourself. Full Moons offer a wonderful opportunity to stand back and simply assess, so use this time to implement a sensible plan to make yourself more emotionally content -- and your life more secure.

March 17: Mercury enters Pisces
Are you ready to be inspired? As communicative Mercury enters this imaginative sign, the quieter you are, the more you'll hear. Intuition is strengthened now, and if you pay attention to what people aren't saying, you'll be able to read between the lines -- something that will help you make smart decisions. This is an excellent transit to give your logical mind a break and instead trust your feelings and hunches. Why not read poetry, watch birds, or enjoy a quiet sunset? It's in silence, after all, where the answers you seek are to be found. Mercury will remain in Pisces until April 7.

March 17: Venus quincunxes Jupiter
March 18: Venus sextiles Uranus
Some of your relationships stand to improve now, while others may need reassessment. While every relationship requires a certain amount of compromise, knowing how much to bend and when to stand your ground requires careful thought. Jupiter in Cancer emphasizes your family relationships and asks you to be sensitive and compassionate. Uranus in Aries, meanwhile, encourages you to introduce new and exciting energies into your life. You'll strengthen all your relationships this week by being extra-sensitive to the needs of others -- even as you honor your own need for independence!

Enjoy the Sun's transit through Pisces!

AstroLesson: How to Best Handle a Mars Retrograde Period

Mars' entrance into Libra last December 7 energized your relationships -- for better or worse. Hopefully you began to pace yourself at that time, since the red planet is set to occupy Libra for a long period, due to its retrograde.

Since early December, you may have decided to end a relationship or pursue someone new. Alternately, perhaps you realized you'd rather be single and invest most of your energy in a project or goal.

On March 1, Mars begins to backtrack through Libra, where it will remain retrograde through May 19. Are you ready to re-evaluate the people with whom you spend time, as well as re-assess what you're doing (and why)?

Since nothing moves quickly during a Mars retrograde period, your success over the next three months will be determined by your ability to be thoughtful, flexible, and patient. Plan for everything to take more time than you think it will. Don't try to push anything forward that doesn't get the support it needs. Wait until people -- and planets -- are more supportive.

Overall, this is an excellent time to review and strategize, as well as return to dormant projects, ideas, and even relationships for a further look. Once Mars turns direct on May 19, you'll see progress. Until then, don't sweat the small stuff. Your attitude toward delays will determine your success in the long run.
