Danny Ellerd was a skeletal, 92-pound diabetic who was living on the street in Oklahoma due to struggles with addiction when his father made the hardest decision of his life. He told two bounty hunters where Ellerd was living so his son could be taken to jail, but it turned into a blessing. It led to a stunning transformation, as Ellerd has now been sober for five years and has a wife and young son. "I remember laying in my tent and I was probably about dead, saying, ‘If I had one more chance, I would do it right,'" he tells TODAY.com.
