Three of the jurors involved in Lindsay Clancy’s triple murder case say one holdout juror would not listen to the rest of the panel and ultimately led to the judge declaring a mistrial last week. The three women told NBC Boston that most of the jury was prepared to find Clancy not criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children, but one male juror did not agree. “He was very arrogant,” one of them said. “He really did not take anything that anybody said.”

After a summer that included an outbreak of cyclosporiasis and widespread salmonella risk tied to jalapenos, the CDC is now alerting the public to a broccoli sprouts recall linked to a separate salmonella outbreak. Initial data has connected products from Evergreen Fresh Sprouts to 22 cases of salmonella illness detected across four states, leading to two hospitalizations.
