Jennifer Melahn was dying of melanoma skin cancer when she said she tried one "last ditch effort" after doctors told her she had less than four months to live. The mother of three underwent a newly approved therapy that involves collecting immune cells from a patient’s tumor, supercharging them and infusing them back to attack the cancer. She and her doctor explained to TODAY.com how it saved her. “I'm right back to normal life," she said.
