Britain's King Charles III and Queen Camilla began their first official state visit to the U.S. yesterday in what NBC News royal contributor Daisy McAndrew called "the most important trip that the king has undertaken since he was crowned." The royal couple is expected to head to New York and Virginia to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's independence and "recognise the shared history of our two nations," according to Buckingham Palace.

Former U.S. Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska, 54, who was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer in December, told "60 Minutes" that a "miracle drug" caused the number of his tumors to shrink by 76% since he began taking it. The drug has not yet been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, but has been granted a “Breakthrough Therapy Designation” by the agency, according to the California-based company that developed it.
