Dolly Parton shares an update on her health after missing another event. Plus, Cynthia Erivo talks about protecting "Wicked: For Good" co-star Ariana Grande during a frightening red carpet moment, and experts outline the optimal number of steps to walk each day to prevent cognitive decline.
Legendary country music singer Dolly Parton said she's been dealing with "a few health challenges" in a video explaining why she was unable to attend a ceremony in Orlando inducting her into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions' Hall of Fame. Parton, 79, said her doctors have advised her to "take it easy for just a little while." Her announcement comes after she also postponed a series of performances in Las Vegas in September.
Cynthia Erivo spoke in an exclusive interview on TODAY yesterday about stepping in to protect "Wicked: For Good" co-star Ariana Grande when a fan rushed the red carpet and grabbed Grande at an event in Singapore. "I wasn't really thinking," Erivo said. "I just wanted to make sure my friend was safe." The man was sentenced to nine days in jail for the incident.
