Andrew James McGann, 28, a teacher who had moved to Arkansas from Oklahoma, made statements to police indicating he was the perpetrator in the stabbing deaths of a couple (above) who were hiking in a state park with their two young daughters, authorities said yesterday. McGann was arrested on Wednesday and charged with capital murder. Police also released more details about the killings at Devil's Den State Park, including finding the suspect's DNA at the scene.
Melissa Sanders thought it was just the effects of perimenopause at 44 that were causing her heavy menstrual bleeding last year. The mom from Ohio ultimately visited her doctor and found out she had Stage 3 cervical cancer. She realized she hadn't undergone a Pap smear in 22 years when she made an appointment for one in March 2024. "I never worried about me," Sanders told TODAY.com. "I was a single mom with three kids, and I worked." Now she's urging other women to keep up with their regular tests by sharing her story.
