Melissa Moore had kept the truth about her father from her two children when they were young until a class project at school to create a family tree had them asking questions. She decided to explain to them that she is the daughter of Keith Hunter Jesperson, 70, the convicted serial killer of at least eight women who is nicknamed the Happy Face Killer. "I would say it got really difficult to have more detailed conversations the older they got, because then they wanted to understand more about his crimes," Moore told TODAY.com. "And that is not a comfortable conversation to say, 'Hey, this is how he killed them.'" She also spoke about her own relationship to her father, which is featured in the new Paramount+ series "Happy Face." |
