In her new memoir, "Uptown Girl," legendary supermodel Christie Brinkley writes about everything from growing up with an abusive father to almost dying in a helicopter accident. She told TODAY.com that the most difficult part of the memoir was detailing her 11-year relationship with music icon Billy Joel, including his heavy drinking and rumored affairs. She commended Joel for his "courage" after his seven-word response when she told him she was writing the book. |

Earlier this year, Utah mom Angela Goodrich noticed a fullness in her belly and swelling in her legs, but thought it was a reaction to coming off medication. It turned out to be Stage 4 adrenocortical carcinoma, a rare cancer that affects one in a million people in the U.S. A mother of 10 children ranging in age from 7 to 26, Goodrich spoke about her condition with TODAY.com a day before she died at 45 on April 25. "I think sharing in a journey binds people together and gives the information out to help other people as well," she said. |
