Costa Rican authorities have amended their initial findings to preliminarily rule out asphyxiation as the cause of death for Miller Gardner, the 14-year-old son of former Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner. Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Agency said in a statement yesterday that Gardner's death was not due to lack of oxygen after he fell ill while on vacation with family in the country. The case is still being investigated, and authorities ordered new lab tests that are expected to be available in two to three months. |
