A wildfire raging out of control in a national forest east of Los Angeles continues into the morning, resulting in mandatory evacuation orders for nine communities across San Bernardino County and two districts announcing that classes have been canceled. The Line Fire has been burning along the edge of the San Bernardino National Forest, about 65 miles east of Los Angeles, amid a dayslong heat wave of triple-digit temperatures. The fire has created its own thunderstorm-like pyrocumulus clouds, which the National Weather Service said is responsible for 280 lightning strikes hitting the ground. Here's the latest.
