Opening statements began yesterday in the New Mexico trial of actor Alec Baldwin, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter over his role in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie "Rust" in 2021. Prosecutors argued Baldwin failed to do safety checks on the set, while his attorneys insisted there was no evidence the actor had anything to do with putting the bullet in the prop gun that killed Hutchins. Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if he is convicted. Here's the latest.
Recent research out of UC Berkeley found that many tampons on the market may contain toxic metals like lead and arsenic. However, the researchers do not conclude that the tampons they tested are unsafe.
