Redemption complete! The U.S. women's gymnastics squad took home the team gold for the first time since 2016, winning comfortably over second-place Italy. Superstar Simone Biles, 27, became the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history in the process. After the win, Biles revealed the team called themselves the "Golden Girls" due to their advanced ages (by gymnastics standards), as well as a more edgy, NSFW nickname. 🛌 Some athletes are apparently ditching the Olympic Village for hotels.

It seems not all the athletes are enjoying the village's cardboard beds and tight quarters. According to NBC News, some of Team USA's women's tennis players and South Korea's swimmers are said to have left and checked into hotels. On TikTok, tennis star Coco Gauff's said "all the tennis girls moved to a hotel except me," later clarifying that five girls had moved. Six Korean swimmers also reportedly decamped to a hotel over concerns about transport delays. Separately, Olympians are taking to TikTok to share their honest reviews of the food at the village.

American pommel horse athlete Stephen Nedoroscik, aka Team USA's "Clark Kent," has become the Paris Olympics' first big meme. Sporting Hoda Kotb's sunglasses on TODAY Tuesday, Nedoroscik shared the story behind the viral moment where he was captured "getting in the zone" before competing Monday, when the U.S. men's gymnastics team won its first medal since 2008.
