At least three more House Democrats called on President Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race last night after his first solo news conference in months. Biden defended his fitness for office, answering questions about his age and calls for him to end his candidacy. "I think I'm the most qualified person to run for president," he said. California Rep. | Shelley Duvall, the actor best known for playing Jack Nicholson's terrified wife in the 1980 horror classic "The Shining," died yesterday at 75, her longtime partner, Dan Gilroy, told NBC News. "She's gone after much suffering, which I guess is a good thing, which after 34 years … I can't tell you how much I miss her," Gilroy said. Duvall also appeared in the Oscar-winning films "Nashville" and "Annie Hall" and earned a pair of Emmy Award nominations.
