Jury selection in Donald Trump's hush money case is expected to continue this morning after a slow start yesterday. More than half of the 96 potential jurors summoned to a New York City courtroom said they couldn't be "fair and impartial" in judging Trump, the first former president in history to face a criminal trial. Trump's eyes were closed during part of the proceedings, creating speculation about whether he was asleep or just deep in thought. Not a single juror was selected. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to a porn star in 2016. Here's the latest. |

Five years ago, the world watched in horror as the iconic spire of Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral came crashing down in a fiery inferno. But today, the spire, (or "la fléche") is on the verge of rising again thanks to the work of a group of skilled craftsmen from around the world, who in some cases re-created medieval tools to match the work of the original builders. Among them is Hank Silver (above), a carpenter from Hatfield, Massachusetts, who says his work to reopen the 1345 monument of French pride "changed my life." "It's a once-in-a-millennium experience," he says. Learn more about the cathedral's comeback here. |
