Opening statements from attorneys on both sides are set to begin this morning in the first criminal trial of a former president. A jury of seven men and five women was finalized Friday after an intense day in which some potential jurors, who were later excused, broke down in tears from anxiety, and a man set himself on fire outside the courthouse. The House of Representatives passed a series of bills on Saturday involving aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan that also included a potential TikTok ban. The legislation would force TikTok's Chinese owner, ByteDance, to sell the company within nine months or face a ban, following lawmakers' concerns about surveillance of users and Chinese propaganda being promoted on the platform. The bill now heads to the Senate for a vote. If it's passed, it would be sent to President Biden to be signed into law.

The mother of musician Kameron Jane worked hard on a meal of Tuscan chicken cooked with a new pure Greek olive oil that looked appetizing, right up to the part where she realized it was actually a bottle of pure Greek olive shower gel. "This chicken tastes like straight-up soap," Jane said on TikTok. Despite all that, it ended well for Jane's mom.
