The 6 biggest beauty trends for spring, according to an expert
Faith Xue, the Executive Beauty Director of Bustle Digital Group, stopped by TODAY to reveal trends to watch this season, along with some suggested products you'll want to stock up on.
"Milky skin care products are trending, replacing moisturizers and toners — they're great for anyone who has dry and sensitive skin especially during winter," Xue told us.
If you're new to the skin milk trend, Xue recommends starting with Laneige's cream-toner hybrid. It contains a blend of ceramides and peptides that can help plump, nourish and repair the skin.

Post-vacation Glow
"We used to rely on bronzers and self-tanners to look like we just got back from a beach vacation, but now there's a new skin care product that instantly gives a glow and can be worn alone or layered under makeup," says Xue.
Editorial assistant Madison San Miguel says these hue drops give her skin an "I was just on a beach vacation" look, thanks to the natural (but glowy!) bronze finish they leave behind.

New Romantics Makeup
"Makeup for spring is inspired by the looks you'd see in Marie Antoinette's court in Versailles — petal-soft blush and soft, romantic details/pops of pink, plus bow accents in the hair," says Xue.
Pigment! That's the one word that many reviewers use to describe the impact of this liquid blush. A single dab packs a ton of color and is said to be both blendable and buildable.
Combining the perks of both a gloss and balm, this lip "jelly" offers tons of shine and moisture to your pout — without the sticky residue, according to the brand.

Body Mists
"Body mists are back! But instead of the super-sweet/childish scents of the '90s (we all remember dousing ourselves with them in the mall), the newer body mists are sophisticated and grown-up — and might even boost your spirits," explains Xue.
Talk about a mood booster! Xue says Sol de Janeiro did a study and found that 92% of participants said this fragrance transported them to a positive place and made them feel happier!

Hair Plumper
"If you dream of having thicker hair and are too impatient or skeptical of hair vitamins, there's now a quick fix: hair fillers!" suggests Xue.
Thin strands finally meet their match with this "hair plumper." According to the brand, a few spritzes "visibly plumps overall thickness by 200%" versus other basic shampoos.

Micro-French Manicure
"Everything '90s is back, including the French mani as seen on celebs like Kendall Jenner — but the newer version features a micro-sized tip, barely visible," says Xue.
Xue says the French manicure trend that popped off in the '90s is back. This nail stamping toolcan help you effortlessly recreate the elegant look right at home. Our original pick sold out, but we found a highly-rated alternative on Amazon!
