The Idaho inmate and an accomplice who made a violent escape and sparked a manhunt were found and taken into custody on Thursday. Skylar Meade and Nicholas Umphenour were arrested in Twin Falls, Idaho, after a brief car chase. Officials also said they were investigating two other deaths that may be linked to the fugitives. Meade and Umphenour pulled off the planned getaway while Meade was being taken from a hospital after injuring himself, police say. "What we know, with near certainty, this was not an accident," said Josh Tewalt, director of the Corrections Department. |
