Israel and Hamas have agreed to a deal to release 50 women and children who were kidnapped by Hamas during a terror attack on Oct. 7 and held in Gaza. A U.S. administration official said President Joe Biden was directly involved in negotiations of the potentially landmark agreement, which also includes a four-day pause in fighting, the delivery of hundreds of aid trucks, and the release of Palestinian women and children held by Israel. More than 14,000 people in Gaza have been killed by Israeli military, including 5,000 children, local officials say, while Israel says the terror attack killed 1,200 people. Here's the latest. |
