Hollywood actors are ready to return to work after 118 days on strike after the union representing more than 150,000 performers reached a tentative deal on a new contract with the top studios yesterday. SAG-AFTRA said the prospective deal will go to the union's national board tomorrow for "review and consideration," and the union will release more details about the new contract. The end of the actors' strike comes after the Hollywood writers ended their own strike on Sept. 27. The two unions, which were on strike at the same time for the first time since 1960, fought for stricter protections against the use of artificial intelligence, higher base compensation and a bigger cut of streaming profits. Here's the latest. |

Tallulah Willis shared an update on "The Drew Barrymore Show" yesterday about her dad Bruce Willis' frontotemporal dementia. "What's going on with my dad — he has a really aggressive cognitive disease, a form of dementia that's very rare," she said. The family has decided to be open about the "Die Hard" star's condition to spread awareness of it. Tallulah, 29, shared what it's been like spending time with him. "He is the same, which, I think, in this regard I've learned is the best thing you can ask for," she said. "I see love when I'm with him, and it's my dad and he loves me." Continue reading. |

Can your relationship pass the "bird test"? The TikTok trend turns a simple observation into a test of your connection with a friend or romantic partner. In the most literal sense, it means pointing out a bird and seeing how your significant other reacts. If the other person doesn't seem to care and makes no effort to engage with your interest in it, the relationship is supposedly less healthy. It's about a person making a bid for connection and then seeing if his or her partner responds by "turning toward" versus "turning away," according to research by a leading family counseling group. A little pick-me-up before you go. |
It was 5 o'clock somewhere when some of country music's biggest stars paid tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett with an all-star medley of his hits at last night's Country Music Association Awards. Kenny Chesney, Mac McAnally, Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band all took the stage to sing classics like "A Pirate Looks at Forty" and "Margaritaville" in honor of the legendary singer/songwriter, who died on Sept. 1 at 76. Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton were the big winners at the CMA Awards, while Jelly Roll took home best new artist. See all the winners here. |
